“What is your exit strategy for the business?"
This is one of the first questions I ask of weary employees starting a new business.
The reply is usually, “Why are you asking me how I want to end a business? I came here to start it.”
People start businesses for many different reasons, but they can all picture themselves and their business once they have made it. Once they are successful. By asking about the exit strategy, I learn about the values of the entrepreneur. Those values are usually foundational to the mission and vision of their new venture and continue.
Your values inform decisions as organizational and personal changes are considered during transitions and will be integral to the work we do together.
